So this has been my prison for the last four days while I’m laid up with a slipped disk. Getting a tinsiest bit of cabin fever now! Theres only so much #crackeddotcom #imgur and #cutecat #videos I can watch before I start crawling (well, trying at least) up the wall! Note the unkempt hair and makeup free face. Cant wait ‘til its all healed up. #Gettingthere x at least I have the beautifully bearded men from #sonsofanarchy to keep me company. I do love a bearded man!
My outfit today is the H&M trend collection dress I bought yesterday from the sale in the Edinburgh store located on Princes Street. A soft peach pussybow blouse, worn as a cardigan which I picked on #Ebay , my new #Rimmel red lipstick colour #170 #alarmRed , #Cleopatra style eyes, #Skull gold necklace that I customised from several other necklace, multiple silver bangles that are all #vintage finds, my go to red #Clouche hat. Gold glitter #Polkadot tights that I believe I picked up in #Primark, a chunky gold bird ring from #Topshop, a delicate #enamel and gold ring (worn on my left hand) that I picked up for £1! In #DorothyPerkins, my gold and black chunky waist belt which is a #vintage find and a #Butterfly wing print scarf from Ebay. My very inexpensive mix of vintage and #highstreet fashions. #mystyle #whatIwore
For my outift , I decided to wear all black which doesn’t really work for a very muggy, clammy day at work! The breakdown of what I wore is: as follows: A Black (well of course), draped dress from the Trend collection at the H&M in Edinbirgh (lirerally a stones throw from where I work.. Very dangerous indeed) that I cinched in at the waist with my go to black and gold waist belt. My necklace is a gold and Citrine piece that I purchased from Ebay and that does the rounds every now and again. All the rings I’m wearing today (bar my engagement and wedding pieces) are a mixture of antiques that I have picked up in my travels around the world and consist of a mixture of stones in gold and silver. I then threw on a couple of bangles as I love that piled on effect of ‘the more the merrier’. As a cover up over my dress I opted to wear a peasant style blouse with embroidered detail that again, I picked up for the bargain price of 50p on Ebay! (my favourite place in the world!) To complete the look I pulled on some bow stocking effect tights, a leopard print silk scarf and my red cloche hat(all Ebay finds, maybe another obsession of mine that I’ll need to get therapy for?!) Make up was my usual red lippy and black liquid eyeliner. This is the least colourful outfit that I’ve worn in a while yet it was still enjoyable to wear.
Another picture left for me on our white board by the husband. I like to create a little back story for my dinosaurs (as im a big geek) so here it is:
This is ‘Tricerapop’ and his hobbies include playing football (he supports dino UTD and his fave footballer is ‘John p’terry’dactl’) while sucking on his favourite lemongrass flavoured lollipops. Possible childrens book idea perhaps hmmm
A sneaky pic of the husband as we head to his Aunts 50th, then off to the #HotDubTimeMachine at the #Underbelly in #Edinburgh. Stephens shirt is courtesy of @ShiteShirts. You can buy all sorts of clothing from www.shiteshirts.com ,all you need to do is select the size you want, pay for it, then wait. You’ll receive an awesomely retro, bespoke piece of clothing that is so Shite its cool. Stephens shirt is made out of 14 different patterned fabrics alone, imagine getting a shite kilt. Ideas for future garments @ShiteShirts? He loves it so much that he wore it to our wedding reception along with his kilt….
The newest addition to my dinosaur collection that Stephen drew for me. I have always had a slight obsession with dinosaurs ever since I first watched ‘The Land Before Time’ and the first addition of ‘Jurassic Park’ on the telly when I was only a sproglet. I never really looked back from that point onwards which prompted continuous trips on my consecutive birthdays to the Natural History museum to look at the fossils. Stephen starting calling me baby dinosaur as a result of that I used to (and still do) nag him for cuddles by headbutting him gently in the arm (apparently like a veloceraptor) So my latest addition to my collection is ‘Charlotte Brontasauraus’ a baby dinosaur who has just learnt how to walk. I love my husbands mind for little in jokes like this.
